presentation about my job and company "HOLÍSTICA"

1.- Introduce (my presentation):

Good morning, I am Ixchelt Ortiz, I studied Trade Relations at the ESCA, but always I have always liked everything related to makeup, hair, fashion and I´m also interested in new age things.

Because of these interests, I studied Cosmetology and Image Desing, and I took differents courses for repairing nails, skin, hair; even inside the body

And well, now I'm the owner of my spa.


2.- Description of my job:

As the propietary of the place, my job consists in arranging all activities of my staff.

Besides making mud masks , massage, tinting hair, I give yoga's class and I check the paths and payments that I have to make . It´s good I have had accounting at the school.

3.- Description of my company:

HOLÍSTICA, is in the condesa neighborhood, and it opened its doors 3 years ago, and since then our preocupation is improve the
well-being of our clients by using the best technical of massages from Asia and Europ; conbine with the ancestral mexica technica of the temascal.

Temascal is an ancient indigenous tradition. It involves a small chamber made from wooden poles and covered with cloth so that its circular interior is totally sealed apart from the door which can also be covered. In the center of the chamber there is a hole where hot rocks from the ceremonial fire outside are placed. The rocks are passed though the door once everyone inside is ready. The door is then closed and water is thrown onto the rocks creating an intense vapor cloud inside the chamber. The people inside sing songs and chat whilst more rocks are introduced and water and aromatic herbs are tipped over them, constantly increasing the heat inside the chamber.The atmosphere produced is real and tangible; it cleanses the aura, totally transforms your energy and purifies everyone who experiences the situation.

Temascal helps fight physical ailments such as rheumatism, arthritis, prostate, digestive and hepatic problems, circulatory and breathing problems and glandular problems such as those associated with the thyroid. It is extremely effective in stimulating the internal organs and cleansing the body, through sweating, of all the toxins that accumulate as a result of taking medicines or through our food which nowadays can be contaminated. It helps eliminate physical and mental exhaustion, indigestion and stomach aches and significantly improves the quality of life of people who suffer from diabetes and hypertension. The temperature and the volatile oils in the plants that are used help the body’s muscles to relax and as a result the circulatory system improves. It is also effective in treating varicose veins, numbness in the hands and feet, high and low blood pressure and other circulatory problems.The process cleans and decongests the nasal passage; the vapor is used to treat flu, bronchitis, asthma and sinus problems. The inhalation therapy works as a result of medicinal flowers placed on the hot rocks in the chamber and together with the water vapor the respiratory canals are unblocked. 5.- Trend of Company:

HOLISTICA, has increased clients from 250 of 360 in this year. (Graph)


6.- Future Plans:

In the future besides the concepts of now, also I´ll want to open the shop, in order to sell, new age things as books, oils, candles, incenses, DVD's, music to relax, natural make up and may be clothes.

And open a new branch office in lomas de Chapultepec.

7.-Conclude:

I´m very happy, sometimes is dificult to manage a proper firm, but really is the most satisfactory, to work as free lance it is the best.

1st week of 3rd parcial

This week was more short due to the long weekend, but was very important beginer with the BEC, I am a little worried because

I don´t know cant be in the same level as my partners.

Well I´ll try to study more, because the english is very important for comunicate with the world.

my opinion about third week

This week I felt sick, due to my redeeming was bad. I stresed because for the exams and don't set attention. I was absent.

Sorry teacher!!! I promise get better results.

my opinion about second week

Well I should say, that about my redeeming it been verry bad, it could "parecer" that don´t to import me, but sometimes I distact me given my situation (my english it´s verry basic)

I want to thank you miss brenda, your patience, I understand that is difficult be in other country, the "culture" is very different. But really I learn more with you than others teachers from the school, unfortunately I could meet you as far as now.

And I sorry for the times that you make desperate with me or for my (por mi culpa).

my opinion about first week

I think, is verry good have a teacher from the USA, I learn the correct pronunciation of the english, I was happy for this experencie. but I felt a little frustation because my english it´s verry simple and it was complicated.
